DAC1 PRE $1575
The DAC1 PRE is a reference-quality stereo pre-amplifier, headphone amplifier, and computer audio playback device, incorporating the 24-bit, 192-kHz DAC1 digital-to-analog conversion system. With the DAC1 PRE, the music engages the listener with a stunning delivery and breath-taking realism.
The DAC1 PRE is the culmination of years of high-precision analog and digital audio circuit design. Benchmark has achieved unprecedented sonic purity in their audio systems through an intelligent engineering philosophy - establish a pristine analog delivery path and eliminate digital distortion artifacts. The DAC1 PRE continues this tradition of excellence.
With six stereo inputs and four stereo analog outputs, the DAC1 PRE anchors expansive media systems and provides a pristine audio path from source to amplifier. The six stereo inputs include an analog input, a USB computer input, an optical input, and three coaxial digital inputs. The output section includes stereo XLR balanced, RCA unbalanced, and two headphone jacks driven by Benchmark's HPA2™ 0-ohm headphone amplifier.

DAC1 USB $1,275
The pristine audio path of the award-winning DAC1 has made it the Benchmark of stand-alone D/A converters. The DAC1 USB preserves the exact topology of this audio path while adding some of the most frequently requested features.
The DAC1 USB includes a very unique USB input with bit-transparent native 96/24 capability, a programmable mute function, programmable headphone gain range, an automatic standby/resume feature, and a high-current output stage designed to drive long cables or low-impedance loads, such as high-end power-amplifiers.
The DAC1 USB looks sounds and measures the same as the DAC1 with added benefits of convenience, flexibility, and performance.

DAC1 $975
The DAC1 is a two-channel, 24-bit, 192-kHz Digital-to-Analog audio converter. The DAC1 is perhaps one of the more significant recent advances in digital audio conversion technology. The DAC1 provides some of the finest analog conversion through 192-kHz, and will play back 192-kHz with a 55-kHz analog bandwidth. The performance of the DAC1 is unrivaled. THD+N is an astonishing low -106 dB (0.0005%) measured at 0 dBFS, at any playback frequency, at any sample rate, with any degree of input jitter, and it just gets better from there.

Cayin [back

CDT-17A $2,195
The Cayin CDT-17A includes two 24-bit/192kHz DAC (PCM 1792 Burr-Brown chip) in a true full-balanced design. Full tube output (Russian 6922 Electro Harmonix tubes); digital, optical, balance (AES/EBU) output; a Philips CD7II transport; an independent power supply to analog, digital circuit; high-end, specially-designed transformers; As in all Cayin products an aluminum/stainless steel faceplate, chassis and a remote control.

CD-50T $1,050
The Cayin CD-50T is a small chassis, full-function CD player sized to match the Cayin A-50T Integrated Amplifier. This may be Cayin?? entry level player, but not entry level design. Using technology from the larger Cayin chassis?? such as transport design, digital outputs and specification capabilities. This small chassis CD player is all Cayin design. As in all Cayin products, aluminum/stainless steel faceplate, chassis and a remote control are included.

CDT-23 $1,650
The Cayin CDT-23 is a full-function, hybrid tube CD player. This CD players uses two 6922 tubes to add warmth and detail to your stereo system. One of the best features is there are two sets of outputs; one from the tube section and one from the transistor section. By running two sets of cables, you can switch back and forth between the two outputs and compare which output sounds best to you for that CD. Also uncommon in CD players in this price range are two sets of digital outputs so you can use this player as a traditional CD transport. As in all Cayin products, the Cayin CDT-23 includes aluminum/stainless steel faceplate, heavy-duty chassis and a remote control.

Creek [back
to top]

Destiny CD player $2,495
The Destiny CD player from Creek Audio is the first indication of Creek’s intention to launch a series of higher quality products dedicated to the serious hi-fi consumer.
Following in the footsteps of the popular CD50 mk2, the new Destiny player offers superior sound quality with the same playability and durability as the CD50 mk2, but with many additional features.

Classic CD $1,695
Extracting the digital information from the ATAPI bus, similar to a computer, has enabled Creek to work with a virtually jitter free signal source. To convert the signal to a usable format, the Classic CD player uses a digital buffer circuit (FPGA) that stores the signal for a short time and converts it into a suitable format for feeding to a D to A converter. This creates shock immunity from the player, so that the disc is not playing exactly in real time, but slightly delayed through the dynamic buffer. It also converts the signal into a SPDIF signal to provide a high quality digital output, which is now available via TOSLINK optical as well as co-axial sockets.

Evolution CD $1,095
This transport is different to the short-loader previously used by Creek in its CD43mk2, CD50 and CD53. However, the laser and chipset are the same. The short-loader transport became obsolete; hence the switch to alternatives, such as the ATAPI drive used in the more expensive Classic and Destiny CD players.
