Orbe SE Mk. II $5,495
By eliminating much of the expensive acrylic, the Michell Orbe SE offers most of the Orbe's qualities in a cheaper, smaller, and to some people aesthetically more pleasing package. An Orbe SE can always be upgraded to a full Orbe by purchasing the double plinth and dustcover. When teamed with an RB250 or RB300 tonearm, the Orbe SE is a surprisingly affordable entry to the Orbe-class of performance.

Gyro SE Mk. II $2,495
Based entirely on the GyroDec, but without the costly acrylic plinth and dustcover, the Gyro SE brings the same qualities in a more affordable and compact package. A Michell Gyro SE can always be converted into a GyroDec by purchasing a plinth and dustcover.

Technodec $1,795

beauty of its function. True artistry combines these elements by means of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. Oracle turntables are praised as much for their appearance as for their performance.

Accurate reproduction of music begins with a clear understanding of the problems involved. Record playback occurs in a sea of unwanted vibrations. External vibrations from loudspeakers and
footfalls of people walking in the room are transmitted to the record through the air and the room structure. Internal vibration from the turntable motor, the platter main bearing system and from the record itself also interfere with the recovery of musical information. The finest details of a musical recording correspond to changes in groove width of only a few microns (millionths of an inch). Thus, even the tiniest vibrations during playback can result in the loss of fine details. Equally damaging to musical integrity is the distortion that extraneous vibrations add to the sound. For musical reproduction to be accurate, the record groove has to be completely isolated from such sources of vibration.

The JR MK-2. is capable of clearly defining the rear of the concert hall and the very outer edges of the soundfield. THE NEW RIM DRIVE $1,000
The new VPI Rim Drive turns the platter directly using ageless technology for a near perfect transfer of energy. The Rim Drive was created after listening to an old Rek-O Kut turntable using an idler rim drive. The immediacy of the sound that this turntable system produces is amazing. By melding, the old idler rim drive to the new VPI/HR-X dual motor flywheel, VPI has produced a drive system with the immediacy of rim drive and the quietness and smooth rotation of belt & flywheel drive. The platter is driven by a silicone “O” ring on the circumference of a large wheel attached to the flywheel. The flywheel is a noiseless, cog-free source of power. The rim drive transfers this power perfectly.
